I, among many others, can relate. When I moved to NM after teaching elementary school for 21 years in Alabama, I went to job interview after job interview. Finally, someone on the inside told me those interviews were mostly a sham because they knew who they were going to hire.
So, I got in through a back door, that is, I applied to be an educational assistant, knowing that after my superiors saw what I could do, I would be hired as a teacher the following year. And I was.
As the Talking Heads, sang, There’s a million ways, to make things work out, there’s a million ways, to get things done.
You will succeed, Kayt.
