I was returning to Garfield from Truth or Consequences (NM) last month when I took a detour to visit Animus Creek Nursery. About a mile past the right turn I should have made (but didn’t because I was on my motorcycle and the windy road was just too beautiful to make that turn)I spotted a labyrinth in the woods.

Animas Creek Labyrinth and Retreat

Here’s the blurb…

Ten acres on Animas Creek [spirit creek] to discover. Free standing “Bunk House” is located 100 yards from the main house, nestled in huge very old Arizona Sycamores & native Rio Grande cotton woods along the creek. View from guest house. Privacy is key. It is very quiet & serene. Beautiful light for artists, & plentiful birds for Birdwatching [guide available]. The night skies are dark & bright, perfect for star gazing. I am located 20 miles south of Truth or Consequences , 15 miles east of Hillsboro. Caballo Lake is near by. There is a large Labyrinth on the property, free and open to the public. I also have an ‘Open Studio’ on the north end of the main house. I am a jewelry artist & also play in different mediums. My husband & I have 2 dogs. Buzz is the black one, Julius Cesar is brown & white. They are friendly, but big and Julius is young & enterjetic.. There is a small fenced yard with the Bunk House. Spend some time in the country. Peaceful, private, full kitchen, great views, WiFi.
